Revival

Heavenly Father, Creator of the universe and all that is in it, I lift my eyes and voice in praise. Your faithfulness, loving kindness, and mercy has no bounds for which your people are truly grateful. As one of the people that you know by name, I humbly repent of my inequities and ask that You bless my country once again by healing this land of the evil that has infected so many. Soften their hearts, Abba, so that we as a nation may lift our eyes, ears, and voices to You in praise and thanksgiving.

In the name of your Son, Yeshua, I pray.

Heal The Land

I heard on TV last night from a credible source that instead of Haiti celebrating Carnival (Mardi Gras), the President of Haiti canceled the event and called for three days of fasting and prayer. Over one million came, fasted, and prayed for God to heal the land as per II Chronicles 7:14:

14 . . . if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

The New King James Version. Nashville : Thomas Nelson, 1982, S. 2 Ch 7:14

Now, remember that these people are half-starving since the earthquake and still were willing to pray and fast three days! I did a Google search and the event was canceled as per my source and CNN along with a couple of other web sites witnessing the prayers and fasting.

I add my prayers to the Haiti voices of supplication to heal the land.

In the name of Jesus, I pray.

We Turn Our Eyes Upward

Heavenly Father, Creator and King of the universe, we turn our eyes upward and ask that You continue to awaken the people of this nation to educate themselves in civic affairs. We lift our eyes towards You for guidance and wisdom in our every day activities and relationships. May we recognized and have grateful hearts for the many blessings You have bestowed upon us as an individual, as a people, and as a nation.

Soften our hearts and open our ears so we may hear your voice of compassion, mercy and be a reflection of Your light towards our fellowman. We humble ourselves before You, Father, and ask that you heal our land.

In the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray.

Here is the Manhattan Delcaration: A Call of Christian Conscience, signed by laity, pastors, bishops and archbishops of all denominations. The Church is standing up and ready to go to jail if necessary. Enough is enough.

Here is a new song written by Keith Carradine and performed by 14 singers, musicians and two choral groups. It will bring tears to your eyes.

One God, Many Names

Rise up, O Shophet* of the earth;
pay back to the proud what they deserve.

How long will the wicked, O Lord,
how long will the wicked be jubilant?

They pour out arrogant words;
all the evildoers are full of boasting.

They crush your people, O Lord;
they oppress your inheritance.

They slay the widow and the alien;
they murder the fatherless.

They say, "The Lord does not see;
the God of Jacob pays no heed."

Take heed, you senseless ones among the people;
you fools, when will you become wise?

Does he who implanted the ear not hear?
Does he who formed the eye not see?

Does he who disciplines nations not punish?
Does he who teaches man lack knowledge?

The Lord knows the thoughts of man;
he knows that they are futile.

Blessed is the man you discipline, O Lord,
the man you teach from your law;
you grant him relief from days of trouble,
till a pit is dug for the wicked.

For the Lord will not reject his people;
he will never forsake his inheritance.

Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.

Psalm 94:2-15

Heavenly Father, Creator of the heavens and the earth, our Shophet, and the Living God, I lift up our elected leaders for your guidance in their making wise decisions for our beloved country. You have blessed us beyond anything ever seen; the prosperity has turned our eyes away from You; we have become arrogant, prideful, greedy, and liars; but Father, we repent and lift our eyes back towards You and ask that You be merciful to this nation. Those of us that love you are increasing and we need your light to brush away the darkness that has settled over our nation.

In the name of your Son, Jesus, I pray.

Transformations

I recorded the documentary, Transformations, on TBN several months ago. Transformations is a documentary of four cities on three continents. Each city was filled with greed, corruption, evil, and drug infested - the cities were unlivable. A very small number of people, at the most ten, came together to pray for their respective city. Their numbers grew and each one of the cities are good places to live and no longer dangerous. If the city/town was near an agricultural area, the land slowly came back to life and was healed as God promised in II Chronicles 7:14.

When I saw what could be done by such a small number of people in each of these towns, I thought that the same principle can be applied to a nation. This is the reason for this blog: to gather people to pray daily for our nation and for our leaders to make good government decisions and to break and bind the spirits of greed, corruption and evil that inhabit this country.
When England was almost bombed out of existence by the Germans in WW II, Winston Churchill asked the nation to pray every night at 8 PM to save the country. England was saved.

Let us make an army of intercessors to stand on God's Word that He will heal this land if we turn to him and away from greed, corruption and evil.

Heal this land, O God Most High.

Heal the Land, O My God

Heavenly Father, crush the spirits of greed, corruption and evil that hovers over the leaders of this country as you did to Midan, Sisera and Jabin at the river of Kishon. Soften our leaders hearts to seek your wisdom and guidance, O Lord Most High. As King Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged you before all the peoples and men of every language, guide the hearts of our leaders to acknowledge you.

Restore and heal this land, O My God.

In the name of Jesus, I pray.

Pslam 7 - Prayer for a Nation

I ran across a list of Psalms to use when praying for our nation. I shall post a new Pslam each week as a guide when praying for good government, praying for good decisions from our elected officials, and praying that our land is healed.

Psalm 7*

O Lord my God, I take refuse in you; save an deliver me from all who pursue me, or they will tear me like a lion and rip me to pieces with no one to rescue me.

O Lord my God, if I have done this and there is guilt on my hands -- if I have done evil to him who is at peace with me or without cause have robbed my foe -- then let my enemy pursue and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and make me sleep in the dust. Selah

Arise, O Lord, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice. Let the assembled peoples gather around you. Rule over them from on high; let the Lord judge the peoples. Judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High. O righteous God,who searches minds and hearts, bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure.

My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart. God is a righteous judge, a God who expresses his wrath every day. If he does not relent, he will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow. He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes ready his flaming arrows.

He who is pregnant with evil and conceives trouble gives birth to disillusionment. He who digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit he has made. The trouble he causes recoils on himself; his violence comes down on his own head.

I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

Until next week, pray God heals our land.

Pray for the Nation Friday

Join us in praying for the nation Friday at 10 AM, CST.

Psalm 5:1-12

1 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my sighing,
2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray.
3 In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
4 You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil; with you the wicked cannot dwell.
5 The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong.
6 You destroy those who tell lies; bloodthirsty and deceitful men the Lord abhors.
7 But I, by your great mercy, will come into your house; in reverence will I bow down toward your holy temple.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies -- make straight your way before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with destruction. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongue they speak deceit.
10 Declare them guilty, O God! Let their intrigues be their downfall. Banish them for their many sins for they have rebelled against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
12 For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

II Chronicles 7:14

...if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

If you wish to pray for our nation, its leaders, and for good government, leave your prayer.
