Heal the Land, O My God

Heavenly Father, crush the spirits of greed, corruption and evil that hovers over the leaders of this country as you did to Midan, Sisera and Jabin at the river of Kishon. Soften our leaders hearts to seek your wisdom and guidance, O Lord Most High. As King Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged you before all the peoples and men of every language, guide the hearts of our leaders to acknowledge you.

Restore and heal this land, O My God.

In the name of Jesus, I pray.

Amen.

I just noticed this blog. Glad I found it. I will look forward to the inspiration you share each week. I belong to the Presidential Prayer Team and get their daily e-mails too. It's a great way to start the day!

I love knowing that there are so many others in Blogville that share my faith.

Thanks, Lily, for your kind comments. If the Body of Christ intercedes for our nation, perhaps the greed and corruption will decrease. Agreement in prayer releases the awesome power of God to shape history.

I think of intercessors like Abraham; one man negotiated with God to reduce the number of the righteous down from 50 to 10. If ten had been found, Sodom would not have been destroyed. Ten were not found, but five were saved initially.

The Body of Christ is small in comparison to the population of the country, but together in agreement our numbers are mighty. Therefore, I pray and ask you to join in agreement to break the spirits of greed, corruption and evil inhabiting our land.
